This place is HORRIBLE! Choose a different place if you can...
I made a reservation for Nov 23rd 2017 on Nov 21st 2017. I was given 900 bland blvd, in NN Va. found out it was at the airport. Got up to the counter and handed the hertz rep. my visa bank card & drivers license. Then I was told I needed a major credit card and I couldn't pay cash. With that being said I called hertz and was told this is there policy and I needed to have an airline ticket. None of this was told to me at the time of the reservation. I called around and all the car rental places are closed. Please make sure you ask questions, or you may be without a rental car. Very disappointed.
Finally someone answers and laughs... like sort of a, "oh gosh, I can't believe we forgot about you" laugh.

I made reservations online and received a confirmed reservation number. However, the next day, when I contacted Hertz I was notified that Hertz did not have any vehicles in stock. I've made reservations online with the Hertz in the past and I never experienced this. A simple apology was not sufficient due to the fact that I was vehicle-less. I will stick with Enterprise in the near future.
I then asked if they had forgotten about me, and she gets quiet then says, "well, I have you down on this piece of paper here..." and that's all she said about it... You don't put it down in the computer or anything official? Furious. I am currently STILL waiting for my pickup 20 minutes later.
The car that I was given wasn't cleaned. They expressed I had to wait for the car to be cleaned. Well 30 minutes later car had only been sprayed down. Inside was items from the previous renter. A card for Chris over sun visor and more cards in the glove box as well as used napkins. The car transmission feels like it's slipping. The car has a slightly unpleasant odor. Frebreze car vent air freshener took car of that.
First off, dealing with insurance company made me pick Hertz. I call and it rings for about 7 minutes. They answer and put me on hold for another 10 MINUTES!
They answer right away and I explain how long I have been waiting and they say, "oh! Yes! Mr. Tyler... Yes, we will send somebody right now" with MORE LAUGHING. I have no idea how this place is still in business...
I schedule my appointment, get to the body shop where they already warn me that Hertz is horrible and I will be waiting for a long time so I am semi-proactive about it. I call right at 8:46 for my 8:45 pickup appointment. They do not answer the phone until 9:07... they put me on hold right away without me even getting a word in. I wait for literally 8 minutes more on hold. Hang up, and had to call back.
