Quiet, friendly staff. Plenty of room at each campsite. The clubhouse has a full kitchen, several dining tables, a jukebox, board games and a TV lounge with a big flat screen TV. There are several pavilions for groups, areas for RVs, Campers and tents.
Then when Am Ex Bill came,I was charged (2) 100 dollar deposits. When Am Ex questioned I paid 100 too much they denied the 100 down payment. Poor business practice for sure!!
Nice view of the bay and clean campsite. They just don't believe in pro rating your monthly stay. I was told I had to leave on the 17th due to season starting, however still had to pay for the full month. Then someone else would move in to the same space? Managers were very friendly and helpful! They just don't believe in pro rating.
Really friendly staff and clean campground! When it rains a lot there can be flooding, not the campground's fault - the terrain is very low on the island with global warming probably increasing an issue.
Great campground, excellent location. It could use more showers and internet connectivity. Glad they have the kitchen/party room and bicycle rentals. I would like to see kid bicycle rentals too.
Fort Monroe is a great place to visit and it is minutes away from downtown Hampton. If you have an RV and you are looking to stay in this part of Virginia I️ recommend that you consider this place. The RV Park is literally across the street from the beach on one side and Mill Creek on the other. If you are a History buff then you will have an especially great time here. All in all I️ have This is a Great place, run by great people. Pat and Pat are some of the nicest people.( they run the RV Park) and the store has all the things you could ask for.
