Best comic book store in VA. Awesome place, awesome and friendly owner. If you like comics check it out.

Richard is literally my go-to for all the stuff I can't get at regular comic places. He's come through over a dozen times with rare, varient, and independent comics. He's also like the nicest dude in the world. Place is A+ and the he makes it.

When i travel from state to state i try to visit at least one comic book store. I do suggest to never judge a comic book or regular book store by its cover, judge by the customer service and the material inside. I did not engage too much with the owner but i did hear how he treated other customers and his regulars. With 20+ years in the comic book industry, he knows what he's doing, his material, and how treat his customers. He has a good sense on when to check on a customer. When i first arrived he greeted me and ask if i needed any help, I politely declined so i could gauge the store better and he politely went back to his own thing. It wasnt until later that he approached me again to inform me about the older comic book deal (5 for a $1). It was perfect timing and it was short, simple and sweet. I really appreciated how he was able to gauge how much the customer wanted to talk because to those that wanted to talk he talked. He has a large assortment of comic books, not too many graphic novels but i would bet he would order what anyone requested. It would have been nice to have things in alphabetical order or have the comics grouped but the fact he had a large collection i didn't care too much plus i like to flip through the bins, i usually find something new. I would have to place this in my top 5 favorite comic/book stores.

I travel 40 minutes every 2-3 weeks to go to this shop, not my regular shop but I wish it was. Extremely organized. Kid friendly. And by far the best customer service I've had in any store I've been too, not just comic store. Seriously consider going there, he also does great on getting in first edition back orders!

I was in a hurry running some errands when I called. The man was very nice on the phone. I was looking for a book from a smaller story line printed last year. I had been to 3 other comic book stores that day. He at first told me he did not have it but said there were other places he could look and ended up having the one I needed. The book was in great condition and finished my collection of I Hate Fairyland! When I arrived at the store he retrieved the book quickly and didn't try to upsell me anything. He just gave me his card so I had his hours. Great service and the store was clean and bright! Definitely going back!
