Might as well be self service. The staff attitude stinks.. except the one gentleman.. But the two ladies that's there daily acts as if they hate serving the public. I'd love to work there helping people. You get better treatment at any department of Social Services.
don't bother wasting your time calling over and over and over. it's pointless. if you can't get through the first couple times, try going to the office. I haven't been able to use the website to file a claim or get through to them via telephone. if this is an example of efficient and effective public service, we're ALL doomed!
The red tape a person has to go through is horrible. Most of the rules are not published and the customer service agents are bigots/racist. Case and point, the lady in front of me was laughing and joking with the clerk. When it came up to my turn, the lady looked at me like I had just killed her Mother.
Called twice, they couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Was on hold only 7 minutes the second call, which, considering what they do, is very, very reasonable. Thank you! I appreciated the support.
I've called everyday for over a week now and all i get is a busy signal. i visited the office only to find the doors closed with a posted note which read "closed due to incliment weather". thought that was pretty laughable, considering the fact that i was able to drive there from home with no problem.
The worst customer service ever experienced. Their attitudes are beyond nasty and they do not care one bit about you. I don't know how they still have jobs. If I could rate this place a zero I would.
Not sure about everyone else but when I was out of a job, this service was of NO help. The only thing the VEC did was demoralize me, and told me that I was being given a hand out (much like welfare) and I should be thankful for any monies I receive.
Anytime I have been here for whatever reason I get some person that has an attitude a mile long. Everything any customer does is to be ridiculed, gone over with a fine tooth comb and then denied.
.
This place perpetuates hate.
Good luck on getting dealt with in a timely fashion or an understanding what exactly you have to do to receive menial funds.
Good luck to anyone trying to get help from these people. you're going to need it.
