The pictures on website are very deceiving, very dirty in main area, hallways and elevator. Pictures of rooms are also deceiving. Carpet is stained, curtains are broken. Hotel was under renovation and we were NOT informed of this when we booked the room or when we checked in. We only found out when we were woken up to banging on the wall from workers in room next to us. We told the people at front desk and one man said they were only supposed to be painting and then told another person and she basically didn’t care and we felt like she dismissed us. There is no great customer service here. Walked into the hall this morning, just outside of our door and it looked like a tornado had gone through. We could barely get through with all the furniture and bedding out in the hallway. Felt like we should have been given an option to move to another room instead of basically being told to deal with it. Won’t stay here again!
Clean, quiet and reasonably priced. Our room had a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. Staff is very professional and complimentary breakfast offered waffles, eggs, sausage and biscuits. Other items like cold cereal, fresh fruit and danish also available. Pool, workout equipment and computer access were available as well. Just minutes from the convention center, shopping and Hampton Coliseum.
Acceptable stay over all (two stays, 3 nights each) - hotel staff met my expectations for the most part, and it seemed to be a relatively quiet area. Beds were painfully hard though, so I would not recommend this hotel for a multiple night stay. Both rooms had their issues, the first had liquid spills and stains all over the carpet, sheer curtains, clock, and furniture. The second stay was a "cleaner" room, but was a smoking room in a former life, and it smelled unpleasant upon entry. The hallways don't appear to be air conditioned (probably a budget decision), and the breakfast was unfortunate (waffle mixture was sour in the 2nd stay). The breakfast host was warm and pleasant. Over-all, it was "acceptable", but for the money I paid I could have had similar quality (dirt/smell and no breakfast) at the red roof inn nearby.
The overall stay was good. The hotel was clean and the desk agent upon arrival at the hotel was very accommodating. The beds were very hard which made for a bad nights sleep. The first desk clerk was awesome. After shift change, the new desk clerk was hateful and rude. Went to the pool during published hours and the night desk clerk kicked me and my wife out of the pool area. We went down an hour before the pool closes. She stated that they can change the hours whenever they wanted to because they were franchised owned. There was too much chlorine in the pool. We stayed on July 3 2017 and checked out on July 4 2017.
Definitely not up to Country Inn and Suites standards. Hotel is older and dingy looking. Bedspread was supposed to be white and it was covered in stains. Off brand cheap TV had sound but no picture. If you like sleeping on a rock, then their beds are for you. I left and went elsewhere.
